Important Product Information
In addition to the standard information such as the product name, supplier and SKU, there are a number of other product attributes that you can fill in. We always recommend filling in as much information as possible (see 'Product Card' for all possible fields).
Purchase Price and Sales Price
The purchasing price ensures that you can monitor the total inventory value at any time via the "inventory value" report. In addition, the purchasing price also enables a calculation of the total value of a purchase order. Finally: the purchasing value will be used to calculate the package value for customs purposes of non-EU B2B orders.
The sales price, on the other hand, ensures correct and automatic preparation of customs documents for B2C shipments outside the EU.
HS-Code and Country of Origin
The HS-code and country of origin will be used for non-EU shipments to automatically prepare and/or digitally deliver the necessary customs documents.
Dimensions & Weights
By entering the weight (including product packaging), you can perform a weight check during packing to prevent errors. In addition, the product weight also ensures that the total weight of a shipment is pre-filled on the packing screen.
Pickability
Pickability makes picking easier (e.g. '1 box', '1 bottle', '1 piece', '1 glass', '1 set', etc.) and prevents confusion. Especially when storing assembled or derived products together with the base product in your warehouse, it may be necessary to take loose items as well as full boxes from the same location, depending on the SKU. In that case, it's handy that the correct pickability is clearly readable during picking (digitally or on paper).
EAN Code
Does your product have an EAN code? Please enter it then, this has several advantages: so you can quickly scan a product to get to a specific order or to open the product card. For certain integrations with sales channels (such as bol.com), the EAN code will be mandatory for correct synchronization of data.
Product Image
One or more product images can be added. These images may differ from the product images on your webshop, ideally they show how the products are stored in the warehouse (i.e. in packaging). This helps you to reduce errors and make the digital picking process more efficient.
